Winneba is a historic coastal town in the Central Region of Ghana, located approximately 60 kilometers west of Accra along the Gulf of Guinea. Known for its rich fishing heritage, the town is home to the University of Education, Winneba (UEW) and is famous for the annual Aboakyer (Deer Hunt) Festival celebrated by the Effutu people.
