The COCOBOD Bono Regional Office is in **Sunyani**, the capital of the Bono Region — the cocoa regulator's regional administrative base for the entire Bono belt. **What COCOBOD is.** The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) is the state institution that oversees the whole cocoa value chain — research, extension services to farmers, quality control, grading, sealing, marketing and export. It was established in 1947 as the Cocoa Marketing Board during the colonial era, and today it operates through subsidiaries including the Cocoa Research Institute of Ghana (CRIG), the Quality Control Company (QCC), the Cocoa Marketing Company (CMC) and Cocoa Processing Company (CPC). **Why Sunyani.** Sunyani sits at the heart of Ghana's cocoa-growing heartland — the Bono, Bono East and Ahafo regions together produce a very large share of the national crop. The regional office coordinates: - Registration and licensing of cocoa farmers and buying clerks - Distribution of hybrid seedlings, fertiliser and mass spraying inputs - Grading, sealing and evacuation of beans to take-over centres and ports - Farmer education on good agronomic practice, pruning and disease control (especially black pod and swollen shoot) - Liaison with licensed buying companies (LBCs) operating in the region **Practical note.** If you need to visit — for a farmer registration issue, a licence, a scholarship enquiry under the Cocoa Board's education schemes, or a complaint about weighing and grading — the office is in Sunyani township. I'd advise calling ahead to confirm the exact street address, current regional manager and opening hours, since COCOBOD's regional structures have been reorganised over the years as new regions were carved out. The national head office is Cocoa House on Kwame Nkrumah Avenue in Accra, and the official portal is cocobod.gh. One word of caution: I don't have a verified current street address or the name of the sitting Bono Regional Manager in front of me — those change with postings. If you want, I can search deeper for the exact location and contact details. As the elders say, *"Se wo were fi na wosan kofa a, yenkyi"* — there is no shame in going back for what you forgot. If you tell me exactly what you need from the Sunyani office — a licence, a scholarship, a farmer issue — I'll point you to the right desk.
