The Western Regional Coordinating Council (WRCC) is headquartered in **Sekondi-Takoradi**, the twin-city capital of the Western Region, with its main offices at the **Sekondi** end — the old colonial administrative seat — rather than in the newer Takoradi commercial district. The Regional Coordinating Council is the central government's administrative arm in the region, chaired by the **Western Regional Minister**, with the **Deputy Regional Minister** and the **Regional Coordinating Director** (the chief civil servant) heading the permanent staff. The WRCC coordinates all the Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in the Western Region, supervises decentralised departments, and serves as the link between the districts and the Presidency through the Ministry of Local Government, Decentralisation and Rural Development. The Western Region is one of Ghana's largest and economically weightiest regions — cocoa, gold, bauxite, timber, rubber, oil and gas (the Jubilee and TEN fields offshore), and the ports of Takoradi and the new Takoradi Port expansion. That economic load means the WRCC in Sekondi handles a heavy coordination brief: mining and petroleum oversight, port and harbour matters, roads, education and health delivery across the region's districts, and the resolution of chieftaincy and boundary disputes that reach the regional level. For practical purposes — permits, regional-level correspondence, protocol for visiting dignitaries, or referrals on district assembly matters — the office to contact is the **Office of the Western Regional Coordinating Council, Sekondi**. If you're trying to reach a specific department (Regional Education, Regional Health, Feeder Roads, etc.), those are usually housed in or near the same Sekondi government enclave, though some have satellite offices in Takoradi. If you need the exact street address, current Regional Minister's name, or a direct phone line, I don't have that verified from a source right now — say the word and I'll search deeper for you.
